Marcos Chaves (Rio de Janeiro, 1961), moves freely between photography, installations, objects, videos, drawings, words and sounds accomplishing a work that “surprising meanings and values embedded in everyday things, hidden by habit or convention. Makes unpredictable assemblages in detachments of parody, then distilling his acute observation about the world of junk technology“ * with humor and intelligence. Its exponent trajectory in the visual arts circuit, the strength and power of his works, besides the joint implementation of a specific project site in 2011, where elements of European and Portuguese cultures were present, were instrumental in their selection . Thus the gaze of the artist, the horizon, the depth of his gaze, the view emerged of Marcos Chaves.
