Marcos Chaves (Rio de Janeiro, 1961), moves freely between photography, installations, objects, videos, drawings, words and sounds accomplishing a work that “surprising meanings and values ​​embedded in everyday things, hidden by habit or convention. Makes unpredictable  assemblages in detachments of parody, then distilling his acute observation about the world of junk technology“ * with humor and intelligence. Its exponent trajectory in the visual arts circuit, the strength and power of his works, besides the joint implementation of a specific project site in 2011, where elements of European and Portuguese cultures were present, were instrumental in their selection . Thus the gaze of the artist, the horizon, the depth of his gaze, the view emerged of Marcos Chaves.
