Patrick McElnea (b. 1981 New York) has shown his videos, paintings, and drawings at David Nolan, Marc Jancou, and Daniel Weinberg Galleries. He has also exhibited at artist-run Brooklyn spaces including Ortega y Gasset Projects and Primetime. His image-based practice explores preventative medicine, memorialization, domestic space, and representations of otherness. McElnea received an MFA from Yale University in 2008, and a BFA from Cooper Union in 2004. Museum collections include The Rubell Family Collection in Miami. A recipient of a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Grant, McElnea teaches experimental video and theory at Vassar College.
