  • New fair Art Southampton will return for its sophomore run this week, kicking off on July 25th and running until the 29th. 이력

Haberny, at an early age, was instilled with an understanding of technique and established a sensitivity to the artistic process through his grandmother, an impressionist painter, and his father, a folk artist. It was the work of Larry Clark that helped him understand how art could be more than just beauty, leading him to a world that welcomed controversy and strong personal expression. His discovery of artists like Cy Twombly would open up his world into the abstract and Martin Kippenberger’s diversity helped him to identify with his own compulsiveness while Duchamp’s satirical spirit allowed him to discover his own sardonic style. It was through film that he learned how installations, as a medium, can be produced and directed.

Greg shows his work throughout the United States and internationally. He is affiliated with Pictures On Walls (POW) U.K. and Woolf Gallery in London. He currently sells in the auction house Phillips de Pury and sold at Christie’s last fall. His work is part of many prestigious private and public collections.

Greg lives and works in New York City.
