Stir The Beast

 “Stir the Beast” a new body of work by APT artist Marc Freeman at Palmer Art Projects, incorporates screen printing and sewn elements into an already multifaceted painting practice. Exploring new ways by which materials intersect, their application is integral to my motivation and how I generate compositions. These new works further explore Freeman’s fascination with early abstract modernism. Incorporating new modes of production such as screen-printing and sewing these large scale paintings are another step in his reinterpreting digital construction into analogue paintings. The exhibition is coinciding with Art Month Sydney.
