As part of a residence program Karen Huber Galería presents APT artist Merike Estna's exhibition, who is actually in the city producing pieces for the upcoming exhibition.

By treating painting as a whole sensorial experience Merike Estna pushes the boundaries of this medium showing its power as a contemporary art form; further exploring its potential as a form of communication and the influence the collective imaginary has over it. 
For Estna, the frontier does not lie in the edge of the canvas, but in the edges of the gallery itself. Before, a room was depicted on a canvas and now the room is the canvas. 
Throughout the exhibition Estna challenges the viewer to rethink the notions of painting by changing the way we live and experience the painting. Oscillating between a visual and spatial experience, she makes the spectator become part of the painting.

We inhabit that space.
