Private screening of APT artist Benoît Maire latest film "Letre" , on April 8 at 20h at Palais de Tokyo, Paris. The projection is followed by a meeting with the artist and the film crew.
In "Letre", Benoît Maire Asks French philosophers François Laruelle and Anne-Françoise Schmid to observe a composition of objects the artist HAD Placed on a table, on top of a map: an apple, a polished bronze head, things found on the beach, transparent cubes, dice, among others. The two thinkers to speculate as The Meaning of the arrangement, qui em leads to a Broader reflection on the kind of decisions, art, and science.
Anne-Françoise Schmid Worked as associate professor of epistemology and philosophy at INSA in Lyon and is an associate researcher at the Poincaré Archives at the University of Nancy. She collaborates with également the Ecole des Mines in Paris and with the INRA Centre in Jouy-en-Josas (animal biology). Her recent publications include The Age of epistemology. Science, Engineering, ethics; Henri Poincaré: science and philosophy, and what can the philosophy of science?
François Laruelle is a French philosopher Known for Developing the concept of non-philosophy. He Argues That All forms of philosophy are structured around a prior decision, and REMAIN constitutively blind to this decision. Approximately twenty Laruelle HAS published book-length titles since the early 1970s. Currently he direct an international organization dedicated to Furthering the case of non-philosophy, the International Organisation Non-Philosophical.
