ABOUT

In body and soul. Women artists of the twentieth and twenty-first century presents 79 works by 59 different artists that show the variety of contemporary art techniques (photography, painting, video, sculpture, etc.) and the different aesthetic positions from which they can address common issues . Through these works, the exhibition aims to bring the viewer to the reality of life through the body and soul, inside and outside.

In the first part of the exhibition, which corresponds to the concept "Body and Soul", intimate pieces that are born from the depth of the soul and others that show the naked body uncensored and at its peak are presented. "The mapping of the soul are reflected in nature and interior. If the body is the continent and the soul is the content could draw a parallel with the landscape and the interior, "explain the curators.

This simile approaches the second part of the show, "Inside / Outside", which works depicting the beauty of nature in a bucolic way even without leaving the critical capacity is. Meanwhile, they get intimate works that place the viewer in front interior or objects that represent everyday life, like a voyeur . Faced with some creations you can feel that breaks in the privacy of some people, like souls are invaded in the first part of the exhibition.
