ABOUT

The three acts of the ‘A House of Passive Noise’ project will present international artists who take different approaches to the question of what place an attitude that resists every kind of functionality, productivity or conformation can have in society.
How can a conscious refusal to constructively participate in societal and economic rules be taken seriously? Or how can the sheer inability to be productive on a daily basis be seen positively? The key elements of the exhibit include the artists’ presence on site and the changing form of the production with performances, installations, film screenings and artist discussions.

With artists such as David Bennewirth/Sereina Rothenberger, Vicy Langmann and Anna Cairns, Tamy Ben-Tor, Libia Castro/Ólafur Ólafsson, Michaela Melián, Karen Mirza/Brad Butler, Jurgen Ots, Nina Rhode, Ben Rivers

Curator: Katja Schroeder
