Gana Art presents "Seekers of the Future of Memories", a special exhibition that featuring artists who reconstruct memories of their lives with unique colors and forms. Advancements in today's digital technology enable sensational experiences that allow us to overcome the barriers between time and space. Paradoxically, however, emerging in the digital age is the desire to return to the memories that hold valuable moments and significances.

The exhibition features works of artists at the forefront of Korean modern art, including Jiwon Kim, Kyungmin Nam, Yunhee Toh, Jihyun Park, Jina Park, Meekyung Shin, Kwangho Lee, Dongi Lee, Dongjae Lee, Leenam Lee, Kyoungtack Hong. Visitors will encounter works that portray traces of life here and now, as well as those that will remain as memories that exist in moments in future.

The artists will display dramatic and symbolic moments of life collected from nature, and reveal private memories that had not been ignited from the accidentally captured aspects of everyday life. Alternatively, artists tell stories of cultural memories that straddle the boundaries of past and present, as well as those between the East and West. Moreover, the artists adopt mass media's means of image production to address the issue of remembering images in the modern consumer society.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to appreciate 40 works in various genres of art, ranging from painting and sculpture to video. The artworks embody traces of the past, which are equivalent to the future of memory. "Seekers of the Future of Memories" will enable art appreciators to realize that artistic inspiration is not just about restoring old stories of the past, but also closely tied to the strong passion of an artist to gather fragments of the fleeting moment and open communication channels to the future.
