Denise Treizman was born and raised in Chile and lives and works in NYC. Treizman has been a professionally working artist since 2003. She has shown her work in several cities of the world including: Santiago (Chile), Vaparaiso (Chile), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Shanghai (China), Hartford, San Francisco & New York.
Treizman's exhibitions include “Three’s a Crowd”, Superchief Gallery. Lower East Side, NYC (2013); The Mill Gallery, Trinity College. Hartford CT (2012); "In Transit" Centro Cultural de La Reina, Aldea del Encuentro, Santiago, Chile (2009); "Journeys" Galeria Salustiano Casanova, Santiago, Chile (2007) and "First" Bnei Brit Center, Santiago, Chile (2005).
Her awards and honors include Robert Sterling Clark Foundation Fellowships for Latin American & African Artists, Honorable Mention. Vermont Studio Center (2013); The Paula Rhodes Memorial Award. School of Visual Arts New York, NY (2013) Academic distinction given to MFA graduating candidates whose work is deemed exceptional by their chair and faculty; Cover for Course Schedule Catalogue Contest, San Francisco Art Institute. San Francisco, CA (2011) and Kimberly Clark's art/design contest for a bag, Kotex brand, Santiago, Chile (2010).
