Fie Norsker

Fie Norsker (b. 1974 Denmark) studied at the The Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. Her artistic practice, an alchemical mixture of painting, drawing and ceramics, shows a whimsical yet highly provocative exploration of naive forms and notions of the grotesque. Animals, human body functions, candy-colored landscapes and scrawled text figure prominently in her often highly detailed imagery, hinting at a complex, sprawling, yet highly ordered private universe. She is represented by Galleri Christina Wilson in Copenhagen. Fie Norsker lives and works in Copenhagen.
