BIOGRAPHY

Nevin Aladag (b. 1972 Van, Turkey) studied sculpture at the Academie of Fine Arts in Munich and since then is based in Berlin. Her multidisciplinary works, installations, videos, and performances explore the social and political borders of urban spaces and cultures, displaying a special focus on the role of sound in constructing an environment.

Selected exhibitions include: the Emscherkunst Triennial (2016), Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg (2016), Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz (2016), Kunstmuseum Stuttgart (2015), Kunsthalle Basel (2014-15); Art Space Pythagorion, Samos (2014); Istanbul Modern (2014); Sharjah Biennale (2013); Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich (2012); Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT) (2011); Haus der Kunst Munich (2011), The Hayward Gallery, London (2010); XIV Biennale Internazionale di Scultura, Carrara, (2010); Riso Museum, Catania and Palermo (2010); TBA 21, Vienna (2010); Biennale Cuvée, Linz (2009) and (2010); 11th Istanbul Biennial (2009); The Al-Mamal Foundation, Jerusalem (2009).

She is presented by Gallery Rampa Istanbul and Wentrup Gallery Berlin.
