GIỚI THIỆU

The raw material of which the works constituting the exhibition are made is always the same supple, strong, fragile, living material: ceramic. The best artists have tested their ability working with it, from Fontana to Leoncillo, from Tony Cragg to Garutti… Some of them have created stories of shapes in the space, ironic representations of vases and urns as historically Fontana and today Garutti and Vedovamazzei, using the furnaces of the Ligurian tradition of Albissola. Jeff Koons is always pop art, Ai Weiwei always maintains his political commitment, Ontani tells his imaginative world, which is colorful and adheres to the tradition. Rosanna Bianchi is ceramist and pure ceramic, Elizabeth Aro brings us to her worlds, Laveri desecrates, and Bertozzi & Casoni make us say “it looks real..” adhering to reality in a pretty surreal way. Salvo paints with the ceramic, Melotti is allured by ductility and delicacy of the material. Art made with the simplest, the most beautiful, the oldest material, through which artists can make us think, dream, reflect… The canopic jars, fascinating cinerary urns, which are always present in the tradition of pottery, are absent.
