Sean Duffy (b. 1966) received an MFA from the University of California Irvine in Irvine, California, in 1992, and a BA in Visual Arts and Political Science from the University of California San Diego in San Diego, California, in 1988. Selected solo exhibitions include Group Show Part Two at Susanne Vielmetter Berlin Projects in Berlin (2007); The Grove at Luckman Gallery, Cal State, in Los Angeles (2007); Arizona State University Art Museum in Tempe, Arizona (2007); Sean Duffy - Candida Hoefer at California 101 in San Francisco (organized by ArtSource) (2005); and Temporary Worker at Susanne Vielmetter Los Angeles Projects in Los Angeles (2004). Selected group exhibitions include Greetings from the American Dream at Riverside Art Museum in Riverside, California (2006); CUT at Susanne Vielmetter Los Angeles Projects in Los Angeles (2005); Lost in Music at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas (curated by Bruce Hartmann) (2005); and Realm of the Senses at James Cohan Gallery in New York (2004).
