Born in 1978 in Osaka, now lives and works in Tokyo. Teppei Kaneuji's artistic production is predominantly collage and assemblage of everyday commodities, found objects and images. He takes a playful but acutely formal approach to the materials in order to subtly negotiate and juggle contexts, borders and voids embedded in them, and to constitute an open metaphor and narrative.
Among other places, he has shown at Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (Trino), Mori Art Museum (Tokyo), Long March Space (Beijing), Guangzhou Museum of Art (Guangzhou), and the Museum of Contemporary Art (Tokyo).
