Composers create their music within, they need to use a score so their music can be interpreted over and over again. Music is by far the most emotional of all the arts, can only be felt for it does need the mind to rationalize it,  A musical score tells the interpreter how to locate the sound in time so it can be heard in space.  i am interested both in the language and code that has to be created to convey the sound as well as issues of ownership and interpretation.

I wanted to create a visual notation of what it feels when I listen to specific pieces of music; although I have a profound connection to sound. I was trained very early on, but I am unable to play any instrument.

These studies start from a drawing made with graph paper and pencil, then they are scanned and re-drawn line by line in the computer, they are printed and again drawn over with graphite.

For 67 street gallery, I created a site specific intervention, based on 7 drawings made during a recent trip to Italy while I was listening to Max Richter's 8 hour Sleep masterpiece. These drawings repeat in form and scale through out the wall, I have used paint, graphite, glass, acrylic, tape, rulers, lasers, a projector to make the drawings live. 2  short animations can be found in the space.
