The works of Berlin based artist Wolfgang Ganter (*1978) may appear picturesque at first glance, but are a result of a complex production procedure.

Slides and color negatives are exposed to biological and chemical processes: Systematically settled cultures of bacteria invade the slide's emulsion, deform or even dissolve previously existing motives and unveil surprising shapes and fascinating colors.
