Juan Fernando Herran (b. 1963 Bogotá) received a BFA from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá in 1988; an MFA in Sculpture from Chelsea College of Art in London in 1993; and completed postgraduate studies in Art Theory at Chelsea College of Art in London in 1994. Selected solo exhibitions include Escalas at Galería Jenny Vila in Cali, Colombia (2008); Camposanto at Galería Magda Bellotti in Madrid (2007); Camposanto at Galería Alcuadrado in Bogotá (2006); and Fotografías at Galeria Jenny Vila in Cali, Colombia (2004). Selected group exhibitions include Apertura Colombia, Fotofest at Station Musuem of Contemporary Art in Houston (2008); ARCO at Galería Visor in Madrid (2008, 2007); Balelatina at Galería Magda Bellotti in Madrid (2007); and Displaced at Glynn Vivian Gallery in Swansea, Wales (2007). Juan Fernando Herran lives and works in Bogotá.
