The exhibition displays 15 board gouache paintings and 40 drawings on paper, most of which are small-format and have been recently painted.

Ettore Tripodi places side by side diferent images that reveal private and intimate spaces of everyday life, as if they were small windows opening before our eyes. His technique, only apparently simple, succeeds in rendering light and atmosphere, while the subjects move with great ease throughout all his works. The exhibition juxtaposes more evocative and dreamlike pictures: small fragments that compose a wider story which is almost impossible to sum up in a few words.

The wooden boards, with size up to 33x35 cm and thicknesses of 3 cm, have cuts at 45 degrees angles. At frst glance they could appear thin and suspended, as if they were not hung on the wall. They are prepared with a layer of plaster and rabbit skin glue and they have been painted with gouache which, on this support, reaches a level of opacity that reminds us of frescoes. Drawings on paper belong to diferent periods, some of them are pencil studies for the paintings while others are independent creations, ink and watercolour works that relate to each other thanks to their evocative richness, full of references and allusions.
