Mikala Dwyer’s often playful and excessive sculptures are made from whatever materials ‘speak’ to her – from fabric and sheet metal to nail varnish and clay. The results can suggest cubbyhouses or shelters, sites for supernatural events, or even memorials to previous art movements.

Transforming four of our contemporary galleries, this exhibition work includes a major new suspended sculpture and an experimental creative lab.
