ABOUT

Migration is an international residency, bringing together artists from India, Mexico, Belize and the UK to work alongside each other in Wakefield throughout May 2017. In response to the theme of ‘Migration’, the artists will develop new work that engages with the city and its people. 

A series of talks and events led by participating artists will run throughout May. More details and dates will follow soon. An exhibition of work made during the residency will be on display at The Art House until Friday 7 July.

Migration is led by artist Ivan Smith in collaboration with The Art House and City of Sanctuary Wakefield and supported the Arts Council England.
The project builds on the success of Home & Away 2015, an international residency led by Ivan Smith in collaboration with The Art House.
