INTERNATIONAL ART EXHIBITION FOR NEW TECHNOLOGY

Update_6 is an exhibition about the relevant and innovative use of technology in art. After our call for entries 487 candidates from 59 countries have registered to take part in this exhibition.

Discover 19 installations, selected by an international jury, that focus on current, relevant topics like privacy, internet and (r)evolutions in biology and robotics.

Update_6 is linked to the NTAA – New Technological Art Award – 2016. The projects compete for three different prizes, among others the prize of the public, which yields the winner an exhibition in a renown European museum. Every visitor can vote for his/her favourite!

During the same period Zebrastraat shows work of South Korean artist Lee Lee Nam. His works are located at the intersection of tradition and modernity, humanity and nature, East and West, analog and digital and of originality and duplication. Often referring to art history, he creates a dialogue between different traditional and modern media technologies and their cultural history. He lifts the barrier between diverse cultures and periods of time and questions the habits of perception and handling with art.
