This year, in contrast to previous years, the prize will be awarded at the end of the exhibition on 10 December at 9pm.

The Berlin Art Prize is the only award of its kind in Berlin and is not connected to any institution. Initiated by four cultural producers and launched in 2013, it honors contemporary art from Berlin and publicly presents it to a wider audience. Unlike other awards, here the artist's previous exhibition history, education and any recommendations are irrelevant. The artist is evaluated anonymously by a jury of five artists, critics and curators who only take the artistic work into consideration.
