‘All Connected’: commission for the Facebook Air Program

I am delighted to announce the completion of my largest (to date) drawing. Consisting of 28 square metres of hand-made drawing, ‘All Connected’ was commissioned by the Facebook Air Program for the Facebook London Office.

The permanent site-specific work took me 72 hours to complete and was drawn by hand with silver paint markers directly over the wall surface of an office block especially painted with ultramarine blue paint.

The scale and structure of the drawing relates to the architecture of the surrounding space, the colours of the artwork are inspired by the sky and the sea, while the design of the pattern is a reflection on precision, geometry, organic growth and the uniqueness of hand-made processes.

I made the artwork during office working hours and its development took on a performative element as Facebook staff could see the pattern grow over the course of time.
