Crises as Ideology

As a new exhibition and project space the Kunstraum Niederoesterreich has distinguished itself through its openness to experimentally adventurous and genre-crossing projects. It is an artistic workshop and at the same time a living site of communication. The Kunstraum offers presentation opportunities for young Austrian and international artists. Internationally active curators conceive the thematically oriented group exhibitions.

Current and innovative tendencies in contemporary art are shown with a strong emphasis on the medium of performance. In the spirit of promoting and conveying new genre-crossing art, one outstanding project from Austria is selected and premièred annually with the award of the H13 Lower Austria Prize for Performance.
