Commonwealth & Council Book Launch

Last year I was very fortunate to get two books about my work published. One of them is a small publication of a conversation that I had with the artist Sonia Leimer which we started in the early planning stages of her exhibition at LAMOA. Joanna Fiduccia and Andrew Berardini contributed essays to our publication, Peter Kim designed the book and it was published by Nächst St Stephan Gallery in Vienna.

The other publication is a monograph encompassing documentation of my work since 1995.  The book was published by the UCLA Hammer museum as part of the Mohn award that I received for my contribution to the 2014 Made In LA show. Essays in this book are by Connie Butler and Michael Ned Holte, with an introduction by Ann Philbin and a foreword by Pamela and Jarl Mohn. The monograph was designed by Michael Worthington.

To celebrate the publications, we'll have a book launch event at Commonwealth & Council this Saturday the 9th of April from 3-6pm. Concurrent with the event is a book launch for Pamela Jorden's publication at the Visitor Welcome Center across the hallway in the building.
