Astronauts and Moon Phases are the 2 latest experimental films by APT artist Margo Victor that intervene with genre such as the western, sci-fi, spy, and industrials. Basing her compositions on these familiarized structures she creates a new form that is dense with original music and alternative characters resulting in her own filmic analysis of aesthetics. With formal layering and translucency of image she explores a new way of seeing that encapsulates the multiplicity of ideas; that information is circular and that beginnings and ends often reside in the center.
The screening will be followed by a discussion between Matias Viegener and Margo Victor.Friday, February 19.
