Moving Borders

Moving Borders (2015) is the title of a new series of works in which APT artist Angelo Bellobono must respond to its current state in which he is nomadic and rooted at the same time. It is a series of artist's books in which the protagonist is undoubtedly the painting, a practice by which Bellobono confronted for years and which here becomes necessary companion in his last thoughts wander to places, cultures and times.

The first three books of this new cycle will be on display, curated by Elisa Del Prete, from Friday, January 29, starting at 17:00 until Sunday, January 31, at the fourth edition of FRUIT Exhibition, fair independent publishing, as part of ART CITY Bologna 2016, inside the elegant frame, minimalist style of Tremlett Chapel of Palazzo Re Enzo, Bologna.

Creator and activator of the two platforms interdisciplinary Atla (s) now and “Before me and after my time”, the first a residence project started with communities Amazigh Atlas Mountains in Morocco, the second a program approach and depth of the original story the first inhabitants of New York, the Native American "Lenni Lenape" (those who gave the name in Manhattan, "Manna-Hatta island of many hills"), Angelo Bellobono has shifted over the past two years, including those who were the boundaries of the primordial Earth in Pangea (where much of the North and the Horn of Africa matched precisely with North America) during a search of utopian territories and original cultures. Here he met places, people and people, with whom he shared and initiated cultural exchange projects, and this is the necessary condition for listening and continuous transience that were born notes magazines which then gave rise to the books of Moving Borders.

A painter without study that need to paint. Moving Borders are not known, it is not a sketchbook, are real paintings, almost forced into these pages from the journey, paintings on hand, you can touch, smell, scroll.
