APT artist Marcius Galan is participating “Universe”, an exhibition presenting works of eminent artists who make a reflection on physical concepts expressed in complex ways and not superficial.
"The geometry of the universe depends on how much matter it contains. The next twenty years, astrophysicists believe it will be possible to require all existing matter in it. If the totality of matter is equal to the critical density it (6 hydrogen atoms / m3), the universe is flat and infinite. If the whole matter is a little higher than the critical density, the universe will have a form of horse saddle and will also be infinite. But if the whole matter is well above the critical density, the universe is spherical and finite. Who first represented the possible geometry of the universe was Marcel Duchamp with his' 3 Standard Stoppages ". We are also on the threshold of a better understanding of how energy transforms into matter and understand more deeply how our universe arose. This exhibition shows how the concept of the universe permeates the most diverse artistic languages. "
