LA CLEF DE VOUTE

The artistic proposal of  APT artist Dominique Blais was renewed in 2015 with two presentations differentiated installed one at Cellier, the other cryptoporticus. The artist has designed this place to a unitary monumental architecture project, the fruit of his current research on the material glass - following the residence conducted in 2014 and early 2015 CIRVA (International Agency for Research on Glass and Arts Plastics Marseille).

Programming Visual Arts - City of Reims

The Cryptoportique is a rare and exceptional testimony to the ancient Forum of the ancient city of Reims, then capital of the imperial province of Belgium. Probably dating from the late first century AD, the Cryptoportique, or "gantry hidden," is now presented as a long half-sunken U-shaped gallery Originally, it had the shape of a rectangle along a few hundred meters and a width of 60 meters and open on one of its long sides. Classified as a historic monument in 1923 and currently hosts temporary exhibitions. During the summer it becomes a stage open to outdoor live shows.
