INK KINGDOM

Vincent Sator is pleased to present "INK KINGDOM" second solo exhibition of TRUC-ANH at the Sator gallery, from 28 May to 4 July 2015. For this new exhibition at the gallery Sator, TRUC-ANH offers a global environment: walls space for some painted in black paint and completely covered with works on paper participant an obsessive and enchanting universe.

TRUC-ANH creates mental images. Painting and drawing are a way for the artist to question the ratio of representation in the existence of things, whether or anchored in a fantasized tangible reality. In a contemporary world fully saturated images (internet, cinema, advertising, phones and other cameras ...), painting or drawing is a means for the artist observation and understanding of the phenomenon of saturation, a way of experiencing the image. Combat image by image. The drawing by spontaneity and free gesture is of shamanic dimension revealing hidden forms and allows Truc-Anh to seize a multitude of images encountered chance on the internet, in books or periodicals.

The works presented at the gallery extend the selection shown for the first time at the show Drawing Now in Paris last March. Produced in recent months by the artist in Vietnam, these works devoted to portraits, depictions of fictional or real characters and make up a complex narrative, troubled, elusive. Nightmarish creatures, politicians, celebrities and unknown simple, Figures terror or war images of each work exudes a strange dream to the border, a visual riddle as the eye tries to decipher and tame.
