APT artist  Angelo Bellobono is participating a residency program of the city of Cosenza, Italy

"From September 5 to 19, I'm invited along with other artists, for a residency at the Bocs residency program in Cosenza, formerly known as the Athen of Italy. It will be an important opportunity for me to continue to work on the mountains of the Mediterranean, and, both performatively and pictorially documenting the relationships between geology and anthropology, between people and territory. It will also be an opportunity to deepen some important aspects of a new project which will come out next year and will connect Italy and Greece.

So, I will explore the peaks of the Sila mountains, a mountain placed between two seas, a terrace and a bridge between East and West, on the trail of remote civilizations, ancient travelers and hermits, as Gioacchino da Fiore. Once again I will try a sense of belonging to the place. Experience necessary to review the sedimentation of the landscape, its primordial memories, his archives and his meetings with the man. That experience will turn into paintings and meetings shared with the local community, in order to activate a reflection on the themes of  Europe, border and landscape."

The cultural association Tuesdays Critics in collaboration with the City and the Province of Cosenza, are pleased to present the third period of the project "Residence artistic Cosenza 2015", which was inaugurated Saturday, July 4 on the riverside of Via Dante Alighieri, Cosenza . The curation of the project has been entrusted by the City Alberto Dambruoso artistic director of The Critical Tuesday.

The project intends to become the first of a long series of residencies that, it is hoped, will lead the City of Cosenza to position itself nationally as one of the most coveted and prestigious for this type of activity.

The project was designed to create an open platform for constructive dialogue with the community, who will be invited to participate in all the activities during the period of the artist residency.

All citizens, whatever their age, from children to seniors, will be involved in the project and through the ability to access to the studies, having the opportunity to see live the realization of works of art, either through workshops organized by the artists once a week, is seeing performances that come to life every day through the streets of the city, and finally through a series of debates organized by the curator with the artists.
