L’Effet Vertigo

The exhibition-event of the season at the MAC VAL 2015 was designed from the works of the rich collection of 'young' institution, unique example in Île-de-France a museum exclusively dedicated to contemporary creation years 50 to today. For its tenth anniversary, the MAC VAL offers the public back in time in order to question its mission is to connect the past and the present, and perform a freeze frame to better face the future to come, one to build. The 70 artists gathered in "Vertigo Effect" bear a look on the other side of this, re-reading, replaying or reinterpreting the historical facts, bringing them to the light of day. The course is organized in historical re-readings, personal archives constitutions questions rituals, relics manufacturing, scientific interpretations and re-use of objects. Because the artist is part of the history, the history of art course, but more than that we shared, human history, the conquest, peace agreements, technological advances, advanced medical, political ideals, modes of governance ... Actor and witness history, art is also considered as archeology or knowledge factory.

This exhibition is undoubtedly the conclusion of a cycle begun in disorder and finally synchronized. In 2010, the exhibition entitled "Nevermore" was interested in memories of the past; in 2012, "Deeply tomorrow" gave to see the future, bright or worried and disillusioned reverse. This attachment will be structured in 3 parts and to deal with the two-time before anchoring, by inventing, in the present.
