RECTO / VERSO- front / back

From 11 to 15 November 2015, with the support of LVMH, will host the Louis Vuitton Foundation project the front / back which will gather anonymously the works of over 200 emerging contemporary artists and internationally recognized. This exhibition will be followed by the first auction "blind" ever conducted in France, intégalité sums will be donated to the French Secours Populaire.

Invited by professionals of contemporary art (museum directors, Frac, art centers, contemporary art venues and curators) artists participants responded to a single constraint: produce a work to the set format (A4), signed only on the back. A concept that the place, the duration of the exhibition, on an equal footing. From this game on anonymity will result from unsuccessful or successful attempts to link work and author! Free to curious collectors to be guided by their personal taste or to bet on the future when selling at the end of which the signatures will be revealed.

An identical starting price to all works has been set at 150 euros before the rise of auction under the hammer Master Alexandre Millon.

A specific cultural support, designed and facilitated by volunteers of Secours Populaire and teams of the Louis Vuitton Foundation, will allow people helped by the association to discover the exhibition front / back, but also the Louis Vuitton Foundation, programming and its iconic architecture designed by the American architect Frank Gehry.

recto / verso is a strong signal launched by the French Secours Populaire in its willingness to act against all obstacles to access for people in difficulty to culture and demonstrate that it is an essential lever to get out of poverty.
