Conversation with Fred Turner and Robby Herbst

Fred Turner will join Robby Herbst in conversation about the influence of Stewart Brand, the New Games Movement and Californian techno-libertarianism as a part of Herbst's  new New Games project.

New New Games is a series of projects culminating in a large-scale participatory project to be presented by Southern Exposure at an off-site location in Spring 2016.

Fred Turner is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at Stanford University and is the author of The Democratic Surround: Multimedia and American Liberalism from World War II to the Psychedelic Sixties (University of Chicago Press, 2013) and From Counterculture to Cyberculture: Stewart Brand, the Whole Earth Network, and the Rise of Digital Utopianism (University of Chicago Press, 2006)
