ABOUT

Jason Mena's proposals touch on issues related mainly to the economy. Since the intervention of objects, painting and various actions in their projects are present reflections on exchange values, job opportunities, inflation and minimum wages, among others.

The artist has consistently investigated the operation of the black market and linking this with government policies, global finance, and how this has some kind of grip on the art circuit. All this they are looking for a relationship with the reality of life in different Latin American countries, and marked social differences within this side of the map.Although it is coming from a country like Puerto Rico, the artist has also worked for several years and closely, other contexts such as Mexican.
