A new artwork premiering at Vitsœ, 33 Bond Street, New York City, 14 May — 14 July 2015.

 

Please join Vitsœ from 6–9pm on Saturday 16 May, for a late opening and to share a drink in to the New York shop during Frieze Art Fair and New York Design Week.

 

A library consisting of the first 100 books recommended to Callanan by Amazon, based on everything he read and bought since the online retail giant first launched its recommendation algorithm over 15 years ago.

The books are displayed on Dieter Rams’s 606 Universal Shelving System.

To accompany the installation, Callanan has produced a pamphlet, including the text Tangible Algorithms of the Everyday by Marialaura Ghidini, and a full index of the 100 books. A limited number of copies are available to visitors.
