The word “Triangle” from the title signifies the unique architectural characteristic of the ARARIO MUSEUM DONGMUN MOTEL II. Standing odd amongst the common square-block styled buildings in Korea, the site turns into a fascinating place that attempts to break free from the conventional frame of buildings. On the same note, it relates to today’s contemporary art scene which seeks to go after something beyond fixed concepts.
Given a new life as an exhibition space, this triangular building is now filled with energy and inspiration for artistic creation. It is completely different from the average white-cube styled galleries and comprises of artworks in various forms while offering extraordinary viewpoints. Participating artists could expand dimension of their works by adapting new methodology of installation and interacting with the irregularly-shaped exhibition place.
