Born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1974, Brian Alfred received a BFA from Pennsylvania State University in 1997, studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, Maine and received an MFA from Yale University, New Haven, CT in 1999. Selected exhibitions include It’s Already The End Of The World, Haunch of Venison in New York (2010);Haunch of Venison in Berlin (2008); Contemporary Art Center Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio (2008); Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York (2007). Selected awards include the Joan Mitchell Foundation Award (2006);  Academy of Arts and Letters Purchase Award (2006) and the Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant (2003).  He is represented by Ameringer McEnery Yohe.  Brian Alfred lives and works in New York.
