There are a variety of possibilities in the development of contemporary video. Traditionally, it is to tell story through lens, or to directly record some events. For the conceptual video, it will involve more such that in accordance with certain pre-set ideas and understanding of the world, to carry out production through a unique language. The artist is particularly willing to return to the internal of videos, from relationship between the narrative and language, narrative and space, narrative and structure, to further experience the inner beauty of video itself, as well as try to understand the possibility of a new video.

Wu Ding (b. Shanghai, 1982)is now master of China Academy of Art in Cross-Media School, now living and working in Shanghai. He specializes in the use of text, pictures, video and film as the main creation medium, to explore and practice in the video area.
