ABOUT
The trading under the programmatic title "Digging for victory or the gardens of survival" solo exhibition in Paris and Marseille artist Stéphanie Nava presents a composed of countless drawings, created over a period of several years installing two gardens: livestock and allotments and their political history since the 19thCentury are compared with ornamental representation systems.
since about seven years she worked on her "Gardens of survival" by letting the history of economic, political and social considerations of different types of gardens included in their drawings and over (and thus) constructs spaces.
The result is not only physically tangible, three-dimensional gardens on subscriptions / paper, but these act primarily as narrative spaces.
those narrative (s) recapitulate the history of allotments since
19th Century Europe, or refer to the ornamental and landscape gardens
as a metaphor of social orders.

but also explore the medium itself and its possibilities.
