PROGRAM
INTRODUCTION AND CONVERSATION
6:30-7pm
Introduction and conversation between Başak Senova and Art in General Director Anne Barlow regarding Senova’s recent projects including UNCOVERED (the Cyprus Project)the Project Biennial D-0 Ark Underground, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as well as the upcoming Helsinki Photography Biennial and the Jerusalem Show.

This conversation is presented as part of WHAT NOW?, a series of public programs that examines a set of questions around a central theme over the course of a year. Focusing on the topic of Collaboration and Collectivity for 2014, this series will culminates in a two-day symposium organized by Art in General in collaboration with the Vera List Center for Art and Politics on April 4 and 5, 2014.

PARTICIPATING ARTISTS

INCI EVINER
Inci Eviner (b.1956) is a Turkish artist working in Istanbul. Eviner completed her education at the national academy of fine arts and the Mimar Sinan University. Eviner has been the subject of solo exhibitions including Broken Manifestos, Espace Chatelain, Bruxelles, Belgium (2013); Harem, Turku Art Museum, Turku, Finland (2012);Broken Manifestos, Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Paris (2011); Fluxes of Girls on Europe, Galeri Nev, Istanbul, Turkey (2010); Art in the Auditorium, Whitechapel Gallery, London, United Kingdom (2009); among others. Her work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions including Everyday Life: 2013 Asian Art Biennial, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taichung, Taiwan (2013); Acting in the Library, 1st Tbilisi Triennial – Offside Effect, Literature Museum, Tbilisi, Georgia (2012); Beyond Crisis, 6th Curitiba Biennial, Curitiba, Brazil (2011); Istanbul Traversée, Palais des Beaux-Arts, Lille, France (2009); among others.
