A New Perspective

Over the last five years, through the National Collecting Scheme for Scotland, the Hunterian has developed an important group of works by leading contemporary artists. Works by Christine Borland, Ilana Halperin, Mat Collishaw and Mark Dion feature in this display selected from the permanent collection. In many of these works the power of a great museum collection such as the Hunterian's has had a strong influence on the artist's creative processes. The resulting works offer new perspectives on a historic collection.
