Clifford Owens

Photographs with an Audience (Miami) is an exhibition of new work created in Miami during two performances which took place on October 2nd and 3rd. Owens does not document his performances. He creates discreet art objects. He is not interested in being pigeon holed as a performance artist, nor a photographer. His works have been exhibited at The Contemporary Art Museum, Houston, On Stellar Rays Gallery in New York City, in Performa the performance Biennial, The Studio Museum in Harlem, the List Visual Arts Center, and various other institutions around the country including at MOMA/PS1 where his upcoming solo exhibition titled, Anthology, curated by Christopher Lew, will be on view starting November 13th, 2011.
