BIOGRAPHY
Vanessa Henn (born 1970, Suttgart) lives and works in Berlin.  
She studied at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart from 1992 to 2001, with Joan Jonas, among others, with one-year visits to the academies in Edinburgh (GB) and Christchurch, New Zealand (where she gained her masters degree). In 2002 she received the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg scholarship, in 2004 at the CEAAC, Strasbourg, and in 2005 she had a work scholarship at the Cité des Arts in Paris. In 2007 she spent 3 months in Marseille, France, as a resident of Triangle and in 2010 she received the Stiftung Kunstfond bursary. In 2016 she had a residency in Budapest, Hungary, from the Budapest Galéria and the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg.
 
Beside her work as a sculptor and object maker, she has realised several public art commissions and works in public space. 
Her works are represented in public collections (p.ex. Landesbank Baden Württemberg, Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst Baden-Württemberg, Kupferstichkabinett Berlin, Museum Ritter Waldenbuch) and in private collections in Germany, Switzerland and the US.
