BIOGRAPHY

Arash Hanaei is a visual artist who was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1978. In 2002, Arash received his BA in in Photography from Azad University of Art, Tehran, Iran. Awards and Participation of Aarsh include Photo-Dialogue Contest, Iranian Artist’s Forum, Tehran, Iran (2004); 9th Biennial of Iranian Contemporary Photography, Academy of the Arts, Tehran, Iran (2004); Special Award of the 2nd Iranian Contemporary Drawing Festival, Museum of Contemporary Art, Tehran, Iran (2000). Art residencies that Arash took part in are “Bag Factory” Artists’ Studios, Johannesburg, South Africa (2006), and “Khoj” International Artists’ Association, New Delhi, India (2005).

Selected solo exhibitions of Arash include Miscellaneous, Aaran Gallery, Tehran, Iran (2010); Capital, Aaran Gallery, Tehran, Iran (2009); The Benefits of Vegetarianism, Silk Road Gallery, Tehran, Iran (2004).
