Born in 1971in Biella, Italy, Lorenzo Puglisi lives and works in Bologna.
His work is based on portrait painting, the result of a long journey towards the essential of the representation and full of references to the history of oil painting. The strong interest in human nature and therefore in the mistery of existence are the main issues for his research and the obsessive urge to attempt to portray it.
His recent exhibition are Lorenzo Puglisi, Sobering gallery, Paris, curated by Mark Gisbourne (2016), Acqua è, Expo 2015 (Milan /Venice), Centre d'Art Contemporain La Traverse (Paris), Territory Museum (Biella), Ghironda Museum (Bologna), Villa Reale (Monza).
He is represented by Sobering Galerie, Paris and Galleria Il Milione, Milan.
