BIOGRAPHY

Installation artist. Born and lives in Tokyo. Since the beginning of the 1990s, he has been expressing “the uncanny” that emerges out of the kitsch motifs that surround him in his daily life. He utilizes everyday life objects for his works, and also creates visually unique spaces using strips and wallpapers. He is best known for the chandelier series with its innovative use of florescent light and for the FL (Flower) series of paintings in which the silhouettes of artificial flowers and chains are presented in white rather than the black, outlined form.
