BIOGRAPHY

An artist, curator, theoretician, and the creator of the Michal Heiman Tests (M.H.Ts). She has exhibited in Israel, The United States, Australia, Japan, France, Germany, Holland and more. Her work is included in the collections of major museums in Israel and abroad. A lecturer at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv University Faculty of Arts and the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Program of Psychotherapy. Heiman was announced as the recipient of the first Shpilman International Prize for Excellence in Photography. Young Artist Prize, America-Israel Cultural Foundation. 1994 Na’amat Prize for Women who Made History in the Field of Art. Artist-in-Residence, the McGeorge Fellowship at The University of Melbourne, Australia. 1996 Minister of Education and Culture Prize for Artists in the Field of Visual Art. 2003 Encouragement Prize, Ministry of Education and Culture. 2004 Enrique Kavlin Photography Prize, The Israel Museum, Jerusalem.
