Juan Capistran (b. 1976, Guadalajara, Mexico) received a BFA from Otis College of Art and Design (1999) and an MFA from University of California at Irvine (2002). Recent solo exhibitions include Labor of Love, University Art Gallery, University of California Irvine, Irvine, CA (2002); Slang this, 4-F Gallery, Los Angeles, CA (2003); and Going back to Cali, Mexican Cultural Institute of Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA (2004).
